Our 12 Week Battle-tested Strategy
Week 1: Planning
This is where we get to know each other and get a deeper look into your business.
We start to develop an idea of your unique selling point and your ideal customer.
We also survey you about your inspirations and ideas for the look and feel of your site.
Week 2: Content Writing
This week is a week I like to call “homework week”. No one really loves writing their own content, but with our guides and templates, we can make it as painless as possible for you while preserving your brand’s authentic voice.
Don’t worry we’ll carefully edit everything before publishing.
Week 3: Prototyping
Here’s where we start to have some fun. We’ve collected a lot of information, writing, and pictures from you in the last couple of weeks, and now it’s time to start making things look pretty!
This week, we’ll begin the process of choosing a base theme to customize for you.
Weeks 4 & 5: Design & Revisions
Things are coming together as we put together a style guide based on your logo, colors, and fonts. Then we drop into the base theme and customize everything using your brand’s unique style.
We start to pop in your content and pictures. Before you know it, you can start to visualize what the finished product will be.
Week 6: Development
We continue to add functionality to the beautiful site we’ve designed with you. We tweak things at your direction, and begin to nerd out on all the little details.
SEO, sitemaps, nav, etc. You don’t have to understand all of that lingo, because we’ll handle it for you!
Weeks 7 & 8: Client Training
Now it’s time to get your hands dirty and dive into learning how to use your new site. We may have a bit more construction to do, but don’t worry.
You’ll be busy learning to add, edit, and run every page of your site.
If you’ve chosen an e-commerce package, we’ll train you on how to view orders, add payment methods and shipping policies, and take care of inventory.
Weeks 9 & 10: Final Approval
Coming into the home stretch, we’re just cleaning up and going through our final checklists to make sure everything is absolutely perfect for you and your future customers before launch.
Once it’s looking about perfect, we’ll take final payment and transfer ownership of your new site to you.
Weeks 10-12: Prepare for Launch!
Here we are! It’s the final countdown (you’re welcome for the mental song).
We spend this time designing and revising your social media graphics and teasing the site for a spectacular launch.
Then, we pull down the maintenance page and BOOM!
You’re website is launched!!!
